Scholarships

RHWE has awarded 10 scholarships to local West End residents since 2011.

All our scholarship students are the first in their wider family to go to University and as Community Ambassadors the students will carry out activities such as visiting schools and community venues to promote higher education opportunities and support RHWE with community based research activities. They will also have access to a network of support through the John Buddle Work Village. This will include work experience opportunities, volunteer opportunities through our community network, expert advice from a range of professionals, as well as being linked into a network of Community Ambassadors.

We are currently in the process of recieving applications from students planning to begin university this Autumn. If you live in the West End of Newcastle and plan to start university this Autumn then email bianca.rogers@rhwe.org for criteria information and application forms.
