About RHWE

Who we are

Reviving the Heart of the West End Ltd (RHWE) is a company limited by guarantee and a charity. We have been based at the John Buddle Work Village in South Benwell since 2003. Before this RHWE existed as a SRB project, based on Adelaide Terrace.

We manage office and workshop facilities at John Buddle Work Village and Buddle House, as well as offering opportunities to our local community through our communtiy projects.

Our Board of Trustees represents the local community and the business and voluntary sectors.

Our vision

“To encourage the regeneration of the West End of the City of Newcastle, with the creation of enterprise, education and training opportunities for the whole community”

We have developed our community programmes in line with this vision. All our activities are aimed at encouraging local people to develop skills that will support them into education and training, jobs or self-employment.

We are strong believers in partnership working and are currently working with a number of local organisations to provide our projects including local primary schools, Excelsior Academy, and Solar Learning CiC.
